About the course

Social health is a skill, not a personality trait — and like any skill, it can be learned. This course walks you through the core principles of connection, communication, and relational accountability that David Kozlowski has spent 24 years developing with families, schools, and organizations. You'll complete a self-audit of your own relationships, apply what you learn through real-world practice logs, and reflect on your growth — building habits that show up in your marriage, your parenting, your friendships, and your work.

Practical, not theoretical

Every lesson pairs with a real exercise. You'll practice on your actual relationships, not hypotheticals.

Built by a licensed therapist

Developed by David Kozlowski, LMFT, and tested first in real schools and communities before ever becoming a course.

A foundation for life

Social Health principles apply everywhere: home, work, friendships, and community — this white belt is where it starts.

David Kozlowski LMFT, Author

David Kozlowski is a licensed marriage and family therapist, speaker, author, podcast host, and founder of the Social Health Initiative. With more than 24 years of experience in mental health across California and Utah, David has dedicated his career to helping youth, families, schools, and organizations build, maintain, and improve meaningful relationships.

Originally from Carlsbad, California, David earned a football scholarship to the University of Utah before a series of concussions and a life-changing mental health crisis led him into therapy and ultimately inspired his career path. He later earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University in San Diego and became a licensed marriage and family therapist.David is the creator of the Social Health Curriculum, first launched at Herriman High School in Utah, and the founder of Quit Trip’n, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provided free community support groups for teens for more than a decade. He is also the host of the OG Therapy podcast, formerly known as Light the Fight, which has reached parents around the world with practical tools for strengthening parent-child relationships.

Through his work, David has become a leading voice in Social Health, a framework that positions healthy relationships as a vital pillar of well-being alongside physical and mental health. His approach emphasizes practical connection tools, relational accountability, and culture change in schools, families, communities, and organizations.

Today, David continues to train educators, parents, leaders, and organizations on how to create connection-centered cultures where people feel understood, valued, and equipped to thrive.
